Is this still an active project?
Dark, or anyone else who could answer this for that matter, is Wolf Pack Alpha still being worked on? Will a new version come out for WC3? Is it going to be remade for the SC2 engine? Is any new content going to be added to it? And finally if a new ver. is released when will that happen? Days, weeks, months, years?
Thank you for any info you can give. -Fewmets

Re: Is this still an active project?
Last time something like this was asked, I THINK Dark said he was just taking a break from it for a little bit.

Re: Is this still an active project?
Ya, thats what he said last time I asked which was nearly 2 weeks ago (11 days). This is the best map eva or at the very least tied with ITT/ITT/JTT
Re: Is this still an active project?
Well, I said I was going to take a break, which I did. The problem is that I never got back into it. I think I will, and I'd really like to, but it all depends on time; something I don't have as much of as I did 1-2 years ago.
We shall see...
And remade for Sc2?! Fat chance!... Maybe. Actually, we'll see. It all depends on Sc2 itself.

Re: Is this still an active project?
it sounds like SC2 is using a modified Jass engine so porting it shouldn't be that bad trigger wise. It would just be the extraction of WC3 models or the creation of new models for SC2:WPA. Sounds cool doesn't it.. SC2:WPA!
Re: Is this still an active project?
Actually i think that Defend the Wall would suit sc2 waaaaaaay better then a Sci-fi WPA ever would. Although i'd like to see the change if blizzard ever decides to make wc4.

Re: Is this still an active project?
There were rumors of it coming out in 2010-2012. Just rumors. A new wc game would be badass
Re: Is this still an active project?
It would be preferred that they'd make a third sequel to the original Warcraft. It's times like these that i'd like to just commit sucide because people only know warcraft for wow or when people who play starcraft and ask if warcraft 3 is good? (i'am directing that at my cousin and his friend).
Back to topic. I would say no to the wolf packs alpha on sc2. Instead lets make way for games like dtw or the game we can only hope illidan will follow through with, ua3. They both fit the futuristic theme so well.

Re: Is this still an active project?
Yeah, DTW seemed to fit SC2 pretty well. I think if there was a UA3 for SC2, it would be almost as popular as Dota or Footies. UA2 was hosted pretty often several months ago.

Re: Is this still an active project?
umm... fire you do know SC2 has the ability to import models and terrains just like wc3 did + its even easier than it was in WC3. You can have non-science fiction games for SC2 just like u can have sci-fi for wc3 but easier.
Re: Is this still an active project?
Yeah, but it'd require insane imports. I'd have to import almost 50+ models (trees, units, etc.), as well as terrains, spell effects...
Honestly, I'd rather do Defend the Wall. It'd be epic cool, especially with the World Editor becoming supercharged (I mean it's got physics now!!!)

Re: Is this still an active project?
Yeah you could import the models and doodads but it does seem like al lot of work just for one map.
