Gameplay Vid Empty Gameplay Vid

A quick gameplay vid I made before going to bed. Sadly, I messed up on it a little bit and you didn't see a certain monster in the fight (Accidently killed them all with crushing wave). I will make a new video some time the next day featuring the creatures that you missed in this one. A small expeditionary force, accompanied by a renowned water elementalist, ventures into the area only to be ambushed by a group of undead and mutated vegetation. They are quickly killed and assimilated into the legions of creatures below the city.

sweet vid. just a suggestion you don't have to use by any measure. give the "water well" a 1-1 attack so that the creatures of ''the depths'' don't ignore it.

Or a 0 - 0 attack. (I'm not sure, but I think its possible. I've seen something like that in other maps)

They do attack the spring. They're permanent otherwise. It's just got a low priority rating. Seeing as how it heals and summons though I'm thinking about upping the priority some.

@Myre: they won't attack things that don't attack them back. if it heals and summons then they won't attack it unless they are not being attacked. The way it is now 1) summon water elemental 2) get close to elemental 3) elemental attacks enemies and you summon well between you and enemies. enemies run back and forth because WC3 PATHING IS EPIC PHAIL!!!!!!

@Mooo: you can't do it GUI u need to create a unit with custom values via Jass. otherwise it will remove the attack from the unit. So I guess I'm saying it can be done but its more trouble than its worth.

or even 200 range 1-1 normal damage 10 second cooldown.

No, a better way to do it would be to give it a 1 second 1-1 attack that doesn't show on the well (Combat - Show UI). Range is whatever you'd like. It's a decent way to BS it, although I'm not sure how well it will work when more important units are nearby.

1 sec is too fast. it would deal 60 damage a minute and even that in a large fight can be the deciding amount. W/E its Myres call.

actually, factoring in armor and regeneration, it's probably closer to 0 damage. And who's to say it will attack the same target? Chances are if that well is getting attacked, the attacker is being hit by something else too.

I use a 1-1 attack in Defend the Wall for barricades, and it does nothing noticable to the spawns.

cades have an attack? is that new in .25? sorry if my conclusions were incorrect since I didn't actually try it I completely forgot to factor in armour.

Cades have had an attack for a while. It's hidden though, so you can't see it.

Fewmets: Wrong. That's not how you hide attack.

To hide it from showing up on the unit card (UI), go to "Combat - Attack 1 - Show in UI" and set to false.

The above are NOT verbatim, so you might have to do a bit of guessing as to the exact field but it's very similar to that. Also, make sure you enable the attack. (There's a field for it towards the bottom, a couple above Armor).
