Fewmets Picture gallery

I figure if Moo's going to start art, he's going to need some competition. To that idea I am starting this topic. All pictures are forum safe although if there is also a version that has mature content there will be a note in the picture and a link to the mature version. All pictures will link to the source (on the tinypic profile I've made) and there will be a link to the album at the bottom of the page. Beware, it may have mature content.

Pretty nice, although I can never draw faces or people who aren't covered by armor/other stuff.

I like the dark touch.

I daresay, I must comment. Nice drawings you have there fewmets.

In contrast, I'm not such a fan of dark atmospheres but it does compliment your art.

Competition? Geez. If only we had more people in the arts board I would have a lot more to do as moderator >.<. Why don't you two try a daily theme art contest or something along the lines of that.

Vector art takes a hell of a long time. I did this one as vector art and rendered it as a bitmap before editing. Takes a while, plus I don't have much free time on my hands...

P.S. First post is being updated, as soon as I finish this one, with 3 pieces of pixel art at 32X32 bytes done completely in MSPaint7 for my game. (I'm trying this one in AS3 for shitz and gigglez)

What is vectoring? >.<

Vectoring is just like bitmap editing. However, instead of using pixels, the vector editor makes use of mathematical formulae to specify the position of each line. Vectored images can be enlarged indefinitely without the fear of using quality since instead of pixels, it uses formulae. Hope that made sense.

basically Pixel art is made with square pixels. Vector art is a work of art made using geometrical equation to generate shapes and lines in order to create an image.

I used Adobe CS5 (creative suite 5) (yes, I actually bought something... if you want to make a comment about that my reply is "bite me.") in a combination of pure vectoring and AS3(action script 3) image generation, rendered then edited with photoshop CS5 (from the same suite) for the angel of death. the first one was just pixel art done in... either corell 11 or photoshop CS4 I think. the 32X32 byte remake of the angel of death was done in MSPaint7 (Paint from windows 7) which is why it looks like such shit.

Vectoring sounds cool, yet complicated as hhheeellll.

Elexis, might I suggest doing pixel art in CS4/5 or something like GIMP? Don't be like my sister who thinks that MS Paint has more features than Photoshop or GIMP... lmao.

lol, I used paint because I was lazy and had to reinstall CS5. I did it in like 5 minutes because I really don't feel like working that hard on an flash game...
