After tooling around for a while with terrain..

It's pretty classic, but it does hold 5 'control' points (Center, and four others along paths from center to the bases.) and even if i say it myself, but it looks decent.

Nice, im no fan of footman, but out of all the footman games i played, this has to be the best map of em. (disregard that i havent played that many footman games. Not trying to offend u)

Looks sick huge map and terrain is beatiful. Much better than normal footies. (ive played em all)

I'm guessing. Extra income would be the most obvious answer. Although... It's possible control points will do something else in the actual game.

Possibilities:
Extra Income (Would probably cause a pinball effect.)
Heal Units Slowly (Give 'em the obsidian statue abilities.. Maybe nerfed a little.)
Work as Waygates (From any one of these, you can teleport to any other. Allows for more mobility, and should be nice in 6n6 and appropriate games.)
Win The Game (If your team controls all of them, you win.)
Do Nothing (And only work in some specific modes.)
