Terrain!

What you saw in the preview video was an example of the terrain. Now, that's not even a fraction of the map and I need some area ideas! Whip out your copy of MSPaint and give me a layout! Contributors who are accepted will... Well they'll have an area of the map based off of their layout.


----AREA LAYOUTS SHOULD INCLUDE----
A detailed description of what the feel of the area should be. Dark and magical? Filled with the latest technology to help reduce the spread of disease through the sewers? So on so forth.

A few things which help people. For instance, the water mage requires a source of running water to summon his elementals. Items sometimes fall through above sewer grates. Monster spawns. Areas which give an advantage over the monsters (Units on higher ground are not hit as often by ranged attacks and cannot be seen as easily).

A few hindrances to our heroes are always necessary! Areas where movement speed is reduced by bog-like terrain, steam leaks that damage nearby units, falling rocks that have a chance to damage you, toxic gasses. If used correctly these can all help the heroes as well.

Be creative!! If it's not on the list, put it in your suggestion! Be sure to include a key in your layout map or in your post, use different shades for different heights of terrain, if there are any doodads you specifically want in there, put them in the map (USE A KEY) and if you have anything you want to put in there not listed here, tell me! Ok there is a key along with it. However I wanted to let you know a few things first.

I dont know exactly what type of map/campaign it is. so the map can change to your liking. I assume this is only one level of a multilayer dungeon but I could be wrong. the "ladder" would lead to the next level and the player would start at the bottom left.

Water can be distributed as you please. this was made in MS Paint in windows 98 (my other computer) so you can respect how hard it is to make a good looking picture with like 36 PPI

Fewmets, you've played Undead Assault or SWAT right? It's like that. You don't even have to go in the room, (Unless you want to get to one on the other side). Could you redesign it a little? Also, put a little more detail in the key and be creative! The spiral would also be terrible for getting stuck in. If you want me to use the spiral, we'll have to make getting to the middle and back worth it.

Ok can you please put some of the story and a description of some of the content so I know what to work around?

I think there might be plenty of little bits of content floating around on the forums. Info/Suggestions and that other thread have some info in them you could look at. Other then I guess all that really could be said is that it's in a sewer, and the sewer is havin some issues with monsters. Also, it doesn't have to be specifically in the sewer. There are some areas that will NOT be in the sewers.

If no one's gonna submit terrain's I'm gonna lock this and call it good. Really no point waiting for something that isn't gonna happen.

G'job Mooo. But real quick, whats the waste do? I don't have it in my map yet because I haven't thought of any uses for it.

Everything on that is mainly just terrain, but you CAN add some sort of poison/toxic effect if you wanted to.
