A code revelation
Rising_Dusk, the creator of AotZ (Advent of the Zenith) and DoE (Desert of Exile), has just released a new damage detection system.
Now, while this means nothing to you guys, it means the world to me. Warring Clans can excel beyond awesomeness now. Why? Because this system literally allows elements, and it does so in a sleek fashion. I'm so happy, even if it's 3:34am and I'm sick.
Can't wait to start doing some crazy shit with this thing.

Re: A code revelation
This is just a guess, but does the system detect something like: fire vs water, water does more damage?

Re: A code revelation
Not technically. It's just a new (and awesome) way to detect damage (something Blizzard never added...). And it allows you to make "custom" damage types. So, I could make one for each element, which allows for easier Fire vs Water situations.
Re: A code revelation
Oh, I get it. So its almost like how you can modify Damage and Armor Types, only unlimited-like?

Re: A code revelation
Purty much. I can't modify armor, but I can just detect their "armor" type, and work with it like that.
Re: A code revelation
Umm wait so your saying your just gonna be changing the armor types and damage types. (sorry not to be exicted but i think ive seen that before)
Re: A code revelation
I'm not doing that. It's just the coding itself allows for much more elaborate features in terms of spell damaging.
Oh, and I can use this system in Defend the Wall since I use "custom" damage/armor. But I probably won't, since I have all the attack/armor types I need.

Re: A code revelation
Wait, so it's like the Weapon Armor/Type System, except invisible-like, so you can have an unlimited amount of "stuff" for the system. It doesn't show up, but it's there.
