Heroes of the Day, 7/28/08

I've decided to start slowly releasing content for Warring Clans as I gradually complete the demo.

SO! Every day, I will release 2 heroes and 9 units (the units are NOT necessarily going to be in the final release, since they're just mass ideas). Every week I'll compile them into one big list, and then I'll put them in the Warring Clans website (when I have it set up).

All information may be changed by the time of the demo/official release with or without notice.

Today's heroes are:

Krenn Hateflame, the Heat Bender
Krenn is a strength-based hero who excels at dealing large area damage. He is a simple hero to use and will be good for beginners to Warring Clans. His downside is the general lack of damage control; his spells are not made for single-target damage.

Flame Stomp: Krenn's signature move. Deals 40/70/100/130/160/190 damage in 6/8/10/12/14/16 spots in a 600/650/700/750/800/850 radius. (May stun nature units, not sure yet) Active spell. No target required.
Warming Blaze: Increases, for allies, their health regen (10%/15%/20%/25%/30%) and damage dealt by fire spells (7%/10%/13%/16%/19%) in a 600/650/700/750/800 radius. Passive aura.
Fireball Ward: Summons a single Fireball Ward that deals an average of 80/116/170/247 splash damage per second. Lasts 25 seconds. (I'm aware this is an insane amount of damage. I was unaware of how much it really was until I calculated it. It will be changed.)
Breath of the Dragons: Krenn calls upon his dragon, Tharafax, to fire bolts of fire at enemies, dealing 45/60/75 damage per bolt in a 600/650/700 range (300 width). Lasts up to 15 seconds. Channeling spell.


ZX-1, the Ohm Smasher
ZX-1 is a strength based hero whose main purpose is stunning and slowing the enemy. However, his spells can be a little harder to handle than the Heat Bender's.

Pulse Circuit: Locks ZX-1 and a target in place and deals 25/27/29/31/33/35 damage every second to enemies along the circuit for up to 8/8/9/9/10/10 seconds. Active spell. Requires enemy target.
Conduction: Every attack has a 6%/9%/12%/15%/18% (+10% for each if the enemy is a water type) chance of dealing 45/55/65/75/85 damage to a random enemy in a 300/375/450/525/600 radius. Passive spell.
Jolt Tackle: ZX-1's signature move. Sends ZX-1 flying towards an enemy, dealing 110/140/170/200 damage to the target and slowing enemies in a 250/275/300/325 radius. Stuns the target for 1 second. Active spell. Requires target.
Lightning Hammer: Throws a storm hammer at an enemy, slowing it by 35%/55%/75% and dealing 175/215/255 damage. The hammer than bounces to 6/10/14 other targets, doing the same. Slow lasts 10 seconds. Active spell. Requires target.



Note: All unit abilities will be displayed by what they're based on. Thus, Immolation may just mean damage over time to nearby enemies and may have nothing to do with fire.

-Warlock (Magic). Uses Breath of Fire. /Shaman. Fire
-Net Thrower (Range). Uses Web. /Bandit. Normal BETA
-Bandit Knight (Cavalry). Uses Permanent Immolation. /Bandit Lord. Night

Naga
-Guardian (Melee). Uses Spiked Carapace. /Myrmidon. Normal
-Night Stalker (Range). Uses Evasion. /Dark Archer. Night BETA
-Siren (Magic). Uses Frost Armor. /Naga Sea Witch. Water

Undead
-Skeleton Archer (Range). Very Fast. /Skeleton Archer. Normal
-Zombie (Melee). Uses Black Arrows and Disease Cloud. /Zombie. Death
-Hell Knight (Cavalry). Uses Vampiric Aura (on kills). /Death Knight. Night BETA

He was originally going to be, but I changed him to the Lightning Revenant instead. He looks cooler that way.
